This sunday morning for we two was flowers all the way...........roses,gerbera.orchids and others in various hues and shades.so what if it was a day after the valentine day.Was it not the safer way to do it?o.k. no more un necessary harping. we just spent yesterday morning ,rather a good part of the day ,enjoying a flower exhibition held by Pune municipal corporation at Shambhaji park of city.It was such a refreshing experience that i could not resist myself from sharing it with you.
With it's tall trees,green lawns sprinkled with multicoloured flowers,fountains and ponds Shambhaji park is a quiet haven for the solitude lovers on a busy,bustling area midst the city.With it's clean ,well maintained tracks it is a morning walker 's delight.the soft music played is invigorating while the river flowing quitely provide the perfect backdrop.
The park is on Jangali Maharaj Road near Bal Gandharv audotorium.
Let us take a round of the park and then we shall enjoy the exhibition..................

this is one section of theme park............except lord ganesha every thing here is made of wood and bamboo.water streams down the wooden screen at the farthest end.

there are other themes being developed like tiger safari,trekking with a temple on the hills.many other corners of interest specially for kids.the park also has an aquarium.

i loved this one
for once feather stood straight and leaves flew............
to me these whiteys were like soul reaching out HIM
there was a whole gallery of amazing bonsai too...................

the landscape in bonsai....................there were mangoes,banyan,peepal...........................
and if you think that was the end you are mistaken................there were rangolis made out of flowers,garlands,venis..............any thing you can say with flowers and i have not yet started the flowers.........individual one................. .........
one of the rangolis..........dancing peacock..............there were others..........ganesha with money plant leaves and merigold flowers,swastik and other beautiful geometrical designs.

there are roses and other many flowers as well but i have posted just the choicest few.

a tribute to martyers................................
at the end of the journey quiet reminiscences on the lone bench at the farthest end of park facing the river..............................ah the peace,the breeze,the expanse of sky over the river.the city at the other end,the group of pigeons flying on rythemic notes........................the bridge across the river as if connecting the within and without.
